With the idea of remapping Germany, Sebastian Munster travelled throughout his immediate area. However, the idea evolved until, in 1544, he arrived at his own 'Cosmographia'. The 1550 edition of the book is the source most extensively used for this text: overwhelmingly so for the analysis of the contents of the book which forms the latter part."
