when his mission terminated, consisting of compensation of the agent of the le-
gation and of office messenger, office rent, postages, stationery, newspapers, print-
ing passports, transportation of parcels between Liverpool and London, and a
quarter's salary for return allowance, per report No. 9680....
For amount of his expenses in two journeys to Paris and back, in
January and April, 1849, in relation to the postal treaty with Great
