Without attempting a formal eulogy on Mr. Webster, which would be in the highest degree presumptuous, I must here record my sense of the invaluable services he has rendered to our common country and our common Christianity, and so endeavour to turn the emotions of sorrow which fill our hearts, to some use ful account. If I can do nothing more, I must be al lowed to cast a single flower, however transitory, upon his grave.
