Union Scales of Wages and Hours by City and Occupation Table 13 presents union hourly wage scales and straight-time hours per week in effect on July 1, 1947 and July 1, 1948 for each classification of bakery workers, by type of baking, in each of the 77 cities included in the study. Where more than one union rate is in effect for the same classification in a particular city, all rates are listed, with the letters, A,B,C, etc., designating the various effective agreements. The sequence of the letters does not indicate the relative importance of the agreements or the rates.
