Jenkins Bros Valves

Extra Heavy Pattern

The above illustration shows the long 20-inch main steam header in the boiler room of the Equitable Building, New York City. Like the rest of the high pressure piping in this plant, it is exclusively equipped with Jenkins Bros. Gate and Globe Valves, Extra Heavy Pattern.

These valves cover the most rigid requirements for maintained tightness, simplicity and endurance. Regularly furnished brass, iron body and cast steel, either screwed or flanged and in gate, globe, angle, cross, check and Y Valve patterns. Brass valves in sizes 14 to 3 inch. Iron body and cast steel valves in sizes from 2 to 12 inches. Valves from 5 to 12 inches can be supplied with by-passes.

The following working pressures are guaranteed: Iron body 250 lb. steam; brass 300 lb. steam and 500 lb. water pressure; cast steel 350 lb. steam pressure and a total temperature of 800° F.
