Personally, I have known of a train of 50 cars to lay in Decatur yard twelve hours waiting for 40 more cars. Think of the merchants waiting for their goods. Then what of the damage to these goods enroute due to the jamming around they get in the handling of these long trains?

LODGE 725-(Member, Sterling, Colo.) Business is fairly good here at present, but owing to the large engines several of our engineers are still firing.

Our General Chairman, Bro. M. Larson, was in our midst recently and gave us a lengthy talk on what had been taking place in Chicago during the confer ence with the General Managers.

On Sunday, October 25th last, we had a joint union meeting of the four orders in which much enthusiasm was shown, and it was decided to hold a similar union meeting the first Sunday of each month in the future.

Our regular meetings are fairly well attended. With the exception of three we have our division all organized.
