2 There we to all eternity
Shall join the angelic lays;
And sing in perfect harmony,

To God our Saviour's praise :
"He hath redeemed us by His blood,
And made us kings and priests to God:
For us, for us the Lamb was slain."
Praise ye the Lord! Amen.

"How excellent is thy name!" Psa. viii. c. M.

1 O LORD, our King, how excellent
Thy name on earth is known!
Thy glory in the firmament,
How wonderfully shown!

2 Yet are the humble dear to Thee:
Thy praises are confess'd
By infants lisping on the knee,
And sucklings at the breast.

3 When I behold the heavens on high,
The work of Thy right hand;
The moon and stars amid the sky,
Thy lights in every land:

4 Lord, what is man, that Thou shouldst

On him to set Thy love,

[deign

Give him on earth awhile to reign,
Then fill a throne above?

5 O Lord, how excellent Thy name!
How manifold Thy ways!

Let time Thy saving truth proclaim,
Eternity Thy praise.

"I will bless the Lord at all times."

Psalm xxxiv. 1-9. C. M.

1 THROUGH all the changing scenes of life, In trouble and in joy,

The praises of my God shall still
My heart and tongue employ.
2 Of His deliverance I will boast,
Till all that are distrest,

From my example comfort take,
And soothe their griefs to rest.

3 Oh magnify the Lord with me :
With me exalt His name.
When in distress to Him I called,
He to my rescue came.

4 Oh make but trial of His love;
Experience will decide,

How blest they are, and only they,
Who in His truth confide.

5 Fear Him, ye saints; and you will then Have nothing else to fear.

Make you His service your delight,
He'll make your wants His care.

19.

"I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever."
Psalm lxxxix. 1—11. C. M.

1 THE mercies of my God and King
My tongue shall still pursue:
O happy they who, while they sing
Those mercies, share them too!

2 As bright and lasting as the sun,
As lofty as the sky,

From age to age Thy word shall run,
And chance and change defy.

3 The covenant of the King of kings
Shall stand for ever sure;

And 'neath the shadow of Thy wings
Thy saints repose secure.

4 Thine is the earth, and Thine the skies, Created at Thy will:

The waves at Thy command arise,
At Thy command are still.

5 In earth below, in heaven above,
Who, who is Lord like Thee?
Oh spread the gospel of Thy love,
Till all Thy glories see.

20.

"Let us sing to the Lord." Psa. xcv. 1-7. P. M.

1 OH come, let us sing to the Lord,
In God our salvation rejoice.
In psalms of thanksgiving record

His praise, with one spirit, one voice:
For Jehovah is King, and He reigns,
The God of all gods, on His throne:
The strength of the hills He maintains ;
The ends of the earth are His own.

2 The sea is Jehovah's: He made
The tide its dominion to know.
The land is Jehovah's: He laid
Its solid foundation below.

Oh come, let us worship and kneel
Before our Creator, our God;
The people who serve Him with zeal,
The flock whom He guides with His rod.

21.

"Sing to the Lord a new song." Psalm xcvi. 1-7.

S. M.

1 NOW let your songs arise
In new exalted strains;
Let earth repeat it to the skies;
The Lord, the Saviour reigns!
2 Sing to the Lord our God,

And bless His sacred Name:
His great salvation, all abroad,
From day to day proclaim.
3 'Midst heathen nations place
The glories of His throne;
And let the wonders of His grace
Through all the earth be known.

4 Great is the Eternal Lord,

And great must be His praise:
O'er all the gods, on high adored,
His mightier arm He'll raise.

5 The gods the heathen boasts,
Nor hear, nor see, nor move :
Jehovah is the Lord of Hosts,
Who spread the heavens above.

6 Through earth, let every tribe,
Let every nation, sing

Glory, and grace, and might, ascribe
To our eternal King,

22." He led them forth by the right way." Ps. cvii. 1-8.7's.

1 THANK and praise Jehovah's name, For His mercies, firm and sure, From eternity the same,

To eternity endure.

2 Let the ransomed thus rejoice, Gathered out of every land, As the people of His choice;

Plucked from the destroyer's hand.

3 In the wilderness astray,

Hither, thither, while they roam,
Hungry, fainting by the way,

Far from refuge, shelter, home:—

4 Then unto the Lord they cry;
He inclines a gracious ear,
Sends deliverance from on high,
Rescues them from all their fear.

5 To a pleasant land He brings,

Where the vine and olive grow,
Where from flowery hills the springs
Through luxuriant valleys flow.

6 Oh that men would praise the Lord
For His goodness to their race;
For the wonders of His word,
And the riches of His grace!

23.

"My heart is fixed." Psalm cviii. 1-5. L. M. 1 O GOD, my heart is fixed, 'tis bent, Its thankful tribute to present; And, with my heart, my voice I'll raise To Thee, my God, in songs of praise.
