EYNSHAM (76 76 D.) KEY F.
"Jesus was called, and His disciples, to the marriage."
FATHER all creating,
Whose wisdom, love, and power,
First bound two lives together In Eden's primal hour, To-day to these Thy children Thine earliest gift renew; A home by Thee made happy, A love by Thee kept true. 2 O Saviour, guest most bounteous Of old in Galilee,
Vouchsafe to-day Thy presence With these who call on Thee; Their store of earthly gladness Transform to heavenly wine, And teach them in the tasting To know the gift is Thine.
3 0 Spirit of the Father,
Breathe on them from above, So mighty in Thy pureness, So tender in Thy love; That guarded by Thy presence, From sin and strife kept free, Their lives may own Thy guidance, Their hearts be ruled by Thee.
4 Except Thou build it, Father, The house is built in vain ; Except Thou, Saviour, bless it, The joy will turn to pain; But nought can break the union Of hearts in Thee made one, And love which Thou hast hallowed Is endless love begun.
"This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
DAY of rest and gladness, O day of joy and light,
O balm of care and sadness, Most beautiful, most bright; On thee the high and lowly, Through ages joined in tune, Sing, Holy, Holy, Holy,
To the great God Triune.
2 On thee, at the creation,
The light first had its birth: On thee, for our salvation,
Christ rose from depths of earth;
On thee, our Lord victorious The Spirit sent from heaven; And thus on thee most glorious A triple light was given.
3 Thou art a port protected From storms that round us rise; A garden intersected
With streams of Paradise; Thou art a cooling fountain
In life's dry dreary sand;
From thee, like Pisgah's mountain, We view our Promised Land.
S. SEPULCHRE (L.M.) KEY Eb.
"The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth."
