The Advancement of Learning' was first published in 1605, and 'New Atlantis' in 1627. In 'The World's Classics' they were first published together in 1906, with a preface by Thomas Case, then President of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, and reprinted in 1913, 1929, and 1938.
