Hon. James W. Latta, Secretary of Internal Affairs of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:

Sir: I have the honor to present herewith the thirtieth annual report of the Bureau of Industrial Statistics. The report contains a presentation of labor conditions in the anthracite and bituminous coals fields for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1902, and covers the manufacture of pig iron, steel, rolled iron and steel and tin plate for the calendar year ended December 31, 1902. The report also contains the 1896 Comparative Series, and contains a valuable directory of the pig iron, steel, rolled iron and steel and tin plate industries..
