Christ turneth water into wine.

CHAPTER 2.

into Capernaum, and to Jerusalem, 14 where he purgeth the temple of buyers and sellers. 19 He foretelleth his death and resurrection. 23 Many believed because of his miracles, but he would not trust himself with them.

32 And John bare record, saying, I1 Christ turneth water into wine, 12 departeth 35 saw 35 the Spirit descending from heaven Blike B a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and 36 remaining 36 on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

34 And I 37 saw, and bare record 37 that this is the Son of God. 35

Again the next day after John 38 stood 38, and two of his disciples; 36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! 37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, 39 Master 39,) where I dwellest thou?

39 He saith unto them, Come and ẞ see B. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: yfory it was about 40 the tenth hour 40.

40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, 41 | the 41 Christ.

42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of B Jona ß: a thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and

see.

47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

THERE was a man of the Pharisees,

named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for bno man can do these 1 miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born 2 again 2, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and 3 of the 3 Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom B of God B.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born 2 || again 2.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but 1 Cor. 2. 11. canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
