By Mr. Stetson: A memorial of the stockholders of the late Farmers and Mechanics' Bank of Georgetown, soliciting a renewal of their charter; Also, a petition of the Ladies' Union Benevolent Society of Washington city, in the District of Columbia, soliciting the House of Representatives to give the refuse fuel provided for the House for the use of the poor in said city;

same.

By Mr. Atkinson: A memorial of William Smith, John G. Williamson, Washington Bright, Thomas Bell, and Jonas Dibble, who were attached to the late exploring expedition, praying extra allowance for certain services in the said expedition.

Morse, of Washington county, in the State of Maine, praying that the sum of $1,966 59, which he paid while collector of customs for the Passamaquoddy district, to John A. Balkam, for his services as inspector and deputy collector, and which was afterwards exacted of him by the Treasury Department as having been illegally paid to said Balkam, may be refunded.
