The Council was called to order by the President.

The Committee on Engrossed and Enrolled Bills reported Council Bill No. 98 correctly enrolled; report adopted.

On motion by Mr. Woodson, Council adjourned until 10 o'clock

The Council was called to order by the President.

Prayer was offered by the Rev. Mr. McAtee.

All members were present except Mr. Threadgill.

The Journal of the preceding day was read and approved.

Mr. Alexander moved that House Bill No. 75 be recommitted to the Committee of the Whole, which motion carried.

House Bill No. 23 was read the third time and placed on its final passage. The question being, "Shall the bill pass,' the roll was called and the vote resulted as follows:

Ayes: Alexander, Cralle, Francis, Hickam, Menefee, Murphy, Niblack, Scott, Woodson, 9; nays: Decker, Sharrock, Mr. President, 3; absent: Threadgill, 1.

The title of the bill was agreed to.

House. Bill No. 47 was read for the third time and placed on its final passage. The question being, "Shall the bill pass," the roll was called and the vote resulted as follows:

Ayes: Cralle, Hickam, Menefee, Murphy, Scott, Woodson, Mr. President, 7; nays: Alexander, Decker, Francis, Sharrock, 4; absent: Niblack and Threadgill, 2.

The title of the bill was agreed to.

Council Bill No. 162 was read the third time and placed on its final

passage. The question being, "Shall the bill pass," the roll was called and the vote resulted as follows:

Ayes: Alexander, Cralle, Decker, Francis, Hickam, Menefee, Murphy, Scott, Sharrock, Woodson, Mr. President, 11; absent: Niblack, Threadgill, 2.

The title of the bill was agreed to.

On motion by Mr. Sharrock, House Bill No. 111 was considered read the third time and placed on its final passage. The question being, "Shall the bill pass," the roll was called and the vote resulted as follows:

Ayes: Alexander, Cralle, Decker, Francis, Hickam, Menefee, Niblack, Scott, Sharrock, Woodson, Mr. President, 11; absent: Murphy, Threadgill, 2.

The title of the bill was agreed to.

Mr. Alexander moved that the final passage of House Bill No. 111 be deferred, upon which motion the roll was called and the vote resulted as follows:

Ayes: Alexander, Francis, Hickam, Menefee, Murphy, Scott, Sharrock, 7; nays: Cralle, Decker, Niblack, Woodson, 4; absent: Threadgill, 1; present and not voting: Mr. President, 1.

Mr. Alexander offered Council Concurrent Résolution No. 5, which was adopted.

Mr. Niblack moved that the Council resolve itself into the Committee of the Whole to consider General Orders and Council Bill No. 145.

Mr. Sharrock moved as substitute that the Council resolve itself into the Committee of the Whole to consider General Orders, which motion carried.

Mr. Decker was called to the Chair.

The Committee of the Whole reported, recommending that Council Bill No. 100 do not pass; report adopted.

On motion by Mr. Cralle, Council took a recess until 2 o'clock.

AFTERNOON SESSION.

The Council was called to order by the President.

On motion by Mr. Sharrock the Council resolved itself into the Committee of the Whole to consider General Orders. Mr. Sharrock was called to the Chair.

The Committee of the Whole arose temporarily and received a message from the House announcing concurrence in the amedments of House Bill No. 47.

The President pro tem was called to the chair.

The Committee of the Whole reported, recommending that Couneil Bill No. 160 do pass, that House Bill No. 214 do pass as amended, that House Bill No. 110 do pass, that House Bill No. 152 do pass, that House Bill No. 129 do pass, that House Bill No. 126 do pass as amended, that Council Bill No. 164 do pass, that substitute for Council Bill No. 168 and House Bill No. 92 do pass, that Council Bill No. 132 do pass, that House Bill No. 343 do pass, that Council Bill No. 150 do pass, that Council Bill No. 175 do pass, and that Council Bill No. 176 do pass; report adopted.

The Sifting Committee reported, recommending that House Bill No. 242 do pass; report adopted.

On motion by Mr. Alexander the Council adjourned.
