House Joint Resolution No. 6, by Mr. Noffsinger, was laid over ander the Rules.

Council Resolution No. 9, by Mr. Francis was read.

Upon motion of Mr. Murphy, the Resolution was adopted.

The Rules were suspended, and Council Bill No. 47 was read for the third time and placed on its final passage.

The question being, "Shall the bill pass," the roll was called and the vote resulted as follows:

Ayes: Alexander, Cralle, Decker, Francis, Hickam, Menefee, Murphy, Niblack, Scott, Sharrock, Threadgill, Woodson, Mr. President, 13. The title of the bill was agreed to.

A message was received from the House transmitting House Concurrent Resolution No. 4.

The Rules were suspended and committee reports were declared in order.

The Judiciary Committee reported, recommending that Council Bills Nos. 40, 28 do pass. Report adopted.

Upon motion of Mr. Alexander, the Council resolved itself into the Committee of the Whole and considered General Orders.

Mr. Woodson was called to the Chair.

The Committee of the Whole reported progress in the consideration of Council Bill No. 37; report adopted.

Upon motion of Mr. Alexander, the Council took a recess until 1:30 P. M.

AFTERNOON SESSION.

The Council was called to order by the President pro tem.

Upon the motion of Mr. Sherrock, the Council resolved itself into the Committee of the Whole, and Mr. Woodson was called to the Chair. The Committee of the Whole reported, recommending that Council Bills Nos. 60, 15 and 43 do pass as amended; report adopted.

Mr. Decker moved that the Council adjourn until 10 o'clock tomorrow, which motion was lost.

House Concurrent Resolution No. 4 was read and laid over under the Rules, by request of Mr. Decker.

Upon motion of Mr. Murphy, the Council adjourned until 10 o'clock tomorrow.

MORNING SESSION.

The Council met pursuant to adjournment and was called to order by the President.

Prayer was offered by the Chaplain.

All members were present, except Mr. Menefee, ill and excused, and Mr. Threadgill.

The Journal of the preceding day was read and approved.

The following bills were read the second time and referred to committees:

Council Bill No. 86, by Mr. Alexander, Judiciary Committee; Council Bill No. 87, by Mr. Woodson, Judiciary Committee; Council Bill No. 88, by Mr. Woodson, Judiciary Committee; Council Bill No. 89, by Mr. Murphy, Agriculture and Highways Committee; Council Bill No. 90, by Mr. President, Ways and Means Committee; Council Bill No. 91, by Mr. Decker, Judiciary Committee; Council Bill No. 92, by Mr. Decker, Judiciary Committee; Council Bill No. 93, by Mr. Niblack, County and County Affairs Committee.

The Committee on Private Corporations and Corporate Law reported, recommending that Council Bill No. 9 do pass as amended; report adopted.
