(No. 1.) An Act accepting for the State of Georgra the donation by the United

States of certain lands to the several States and Territories which may provide Colleges for the benefit of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts, by Acts of Congress, approved severally July 2nd, 1862, and April 14th, 1864, and for other purposes therewith connected.

1. Section I. The General Assembly of the State of Georgia do enact, That the State of Georgia hereby accepts the donation by the Donation of United States of such public lands as may be apportioned to said coepie. State, under an Act of the Congress of the United States, entitled an Act donating public lands to the several States and Territories which may provide Colleges for the benefit of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts, approved July 2nd. 1862, and an Act extending the time within which the States and Territories may accept the grant of lands made by the aforesaid Act, approved April 14th, 1864, upon the terms and conditions prescribed therein.

An Act to alter and amend the laws of this State, in relaiion to Appren-

tices.
1. SEC. I. The General Assembly of this State, do enact, From and

2. Sec. II. 3. Sec. III. Indentures of apprenticeship shall be made in dupli

cate, and witnessed in the same manner as deeds. The original, and kepe. shall be kept by the master, and the duplicate shall be filed and

recorded, either in the office of the Judge of the County Court, or in the Ordinary's office, and it shall not be necessary for the apprentice to sign the same.
