4 'Who is the King of glory-who?'
The Lord that all his foes o'ercame,
The world, sin, death, and hell o'erthrew,—
And Jesus is the Conqu'ror's name.

5 Lo! his triumphal chariot waits,
And angels chant the solemn lay—
Lift up your heads, ye heavenly gates!
Ye everlasting doors, give way!'

Christ is Risen.

1 'CHRIST the Lord is risen to-day,'
Sons of men and angels say;
Raise your joys and triumphs high,
Sing, ye heavens, and earth, reply.

2 Love's redeeming work is done,
Fought the fight, the battle's won;
Lo! the sun's eclipse is o'er,
Lo! he sets in blood no more.

3 Vain the stone, the watch, the seal,-
Christ hath burst the gates of hell;
Death in vain forbids his rise,
Christ hath opened paradise.

4 Lives again our glorious King;

Where, O death, is now thy sting?
Once he died our souls to save-

Where's thy victory, boasting grave?'

5 Hail the Lord of earth and heaven!
Praise to thee by both be given!
Thee we greet, triumphant now;
Hail! the Resurrection-Thou.

'Crown him Lord of all!'

1 ALL-HAIL, the power of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,

And crown him Lord of all.

2 Ye chosen seed of Israel's race,
A remnant weak and small,
Hail him who saves you by his grace,
And crown him Lord of all.

3 Ye Gentile sinners, ne'er forget
The wormwood and the gall;
Go-spread your trophies at his feet,
And crown him Lord of all.

4 Babes, men, and sires, who know his love, Who feel your sin and thrall,

Now join with all the hosts above,
And crown him Lord of all.

5 Let

every kindred, every tribe
On this terrestrial ball,
To him all majesty ascribe,
And crown him Lord of all.

60 that with yonder sacred throng
We at his feet may fall;

We'll join the everlasting song,
And crown him Lord of all.

Praise for his Loving-kindness,

1 AWAKE, my soul, in joyful lays,
And sing thy great Redeemer's praise:
He justly claims a song from me—
His loving-kindness O how free!

2 He saw me dead in sin and thrall,
Yet loved me, notwithstanding all,
He saved me from my lost estate-
His loving-kindness O how great!

3 Though numerous hosts of mighty foes,
Though earth and hell my way oppose,
He safely leads my soul along-
His loving-kindness O how strong!

4 When trouble, like a gloomy cloud,
Has gathered thick and thundered loud,
He near my soul has always stood-
His loving-kindness O how good!

5 Soon shall I pass the gloomy vale,
Soon all my mortal powers must fail;
O may my last expiring breath
His loving-kindness sing in death!

6 Then let ine mount and soar away
To the bright world of endless day,
And sing with rapture and surprise
His loving-kindness in the skies.

The Song of Moses and the Lamb.

1 AWAKE, and sing the song
Of Moses and the Lamb!
Wake every heart and every tongue
To praise the Savior's name!

2 Sing of his dying love-
Sing of his rising power-
Sing how he intercedes above
For us, whose sins he bore.

3 Sing, till we feel our heart
Ascending with our tongue;
Sing, till the love of sin depart,
And grace inspire our song.

4 Sing on your heavenly way,
Ye ransomed sinners-sing;
Sing on, rejoicing every day
In Christ, th' eternal King.

5 Soon shall we hear him say,
'Ye blessed children, come!
Soon will he call us hence away
To our eternal home.

6 There shall our raptured tongue
His endless praise proclaim,
And sweeter voices tune the song
Of Moses and the Lamb!

The Brightness of God's Glory.

WATTS.

1 Now to the Lord a noble song! Awake, my soul! awake my tongue! Hosanna to th' eternal Name,

And all his boundless love proclaim.

2 See where it shines in Jesus' face,
The brightest image of his grace:
God, in the person of his Son,
Has all his mightiest works outdone.

3 The spacious earth and spreading flood
Proclaim the wise, the powerful God,
And thy rich glories from afar
Sparkle in every rolling star;

4 But in his looks a glory stands,
The noblest labor of thine hands;
The pleasing lustre of his eyes
Outshines the wonders of the skies.

5 Grace! 'tis a sweet, a charming theme;
My thoughts rejoice at Jesus' name;
Ye angels, dwell upon the sound;
Ye heavens, reflect it to the ground!

60 may I live to reach the place
Where he unveils his lovely face;
Where all his beauties you behold,
And sing his name to harps of gold!
