791. Meals should be varied as much as possible.

792. Supplies for camp must enter at one designated place.

793. No visitors or tradesmen must be permitted to enter the camp. 794. Hospital tents should be provided for white and black male and female patients, for nurse and physician.

796. Any utensils used at hospital quarters should be boiled or disinfected with the mercuric chloride solution.

DUTIES OF PHYSICIAN IN CHARGE OF THE CAMP.

798. All his efforts must be directed to keep the camp from becoming an infected place.

799. To that end he must not permit any fomites to enter the camp until after thorough disinfection.

800. Also he must have any case presenting the slightest suspicion

of yellow fever promptly removed to hospital tent.

801. The effects of any such case or cases must at once be returned to sterilizing room for disinfection.

802. Contents of tent occupied must be disinfected.

803. Any "suspects" coming to camp with such a case should be made to begin over again their period of detention.

804. He shall be responsible for the care of the persons committed to the camp as well as for the property in his charge.

805. He shall keep a detailed record showing the name, age, sex, nationality and color of the "suspects;" the date of their admission and of their discharge.

806. He shall enforce all orders issued by the Board of Health and its Sanitary Inspectors.

807. He shall expel all guards guilty of insubordination or intem

perance.

808. He shall not permit any one to enter the camp except the properly commissioned officers of the Board of Health.

809. He shall detain any such persons or guards violating rule 6, as "Suspects."

810. He shall call the roll of guards, employees and suspects at 6 A. M. and 6 P. M.

811. He shall furnish daily reports to the Board of Health.

812. He shall keep separated the "Suspects," especially during the first three days.

813. He shall keep a vigilant eye on the different departments of the camp.

814. He shall keep a time-book for the employees of the camp.

816. The nurse shall faithfully fulfil all the duties pertaining to the nursing of the sick.

817. This refers to sickness other than yellow fever in camp proper. 818. Must supervise the bathing of women and children entering the camp.

820. Guards must properly report for duty at guard mount at 6 à. M. and 6 P. M.

821. Guards must always be neat and clean in person and careful in

speech.

822. Guards must not hold any unnecessary conversation with the inmates of the camp.

824. Guards must always see that good order and discipline shall prevail in the camp.

825. Loud, boisterous or immoral conduct on the part of "Suspects" must be immediately stopped and a report of same be at once made to the physician.

826. Guards must not indulge in intoxicating drinks.

827. All guards must sleep at the camp.

828. Guards must comply with instructions from the physician.

830. Waiter must at all times be polite and courteous to the "Suspects." He must perform all the duties appertaining to diningroom service. He must comply with all orders from the physician.

832. Cook must always be neat and clean and comply with orders received from physician. He must be competent to attend to all the details of preparing meals.

834. Must wash and laundry all clothing of camp and of "Suspects." Also obey orders of physician.

DUTIES OF MAN IN CHARGE OF STERILIZING ROOM.

836. He must promptly disinfect all clothing and baggage of “Sus pects." Also obey orders of physician.

837. RULES OF THE CAMP GOVERNING THE SUSPECTS.

838. The "Suspects" must keep themselves at all times neat and clean.

839. The "Suspects" must not indulge in loud, boisterous or immoral conduct.

840. They must awake and arrange their tents at the sound of the bell or bugle call in the morning.

841. They must keep everything in and around their tents clean. 842. The throwing of papers and remnants of food on the ground is not only dangerous, but unsightly and will not be tolerated. 843. They must retire to their tents when the physician or his assistants visits the camp.

844. In the event of sickness they must report to the nearest guard, who will immediately report to the physician in charge.

845. The "Suspects" must be patient, forbearing and considerate to each other.

846. The "Suspects" must not go near the dining-room until called for meals.
