In pursuance of a resolution of the General Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church, in the United States of America, we, the subscribers, a Committee authorized for the purpose, do hereby publish the Hymns of the said Church, and those set forth by the said Convention at their session in November, in the year of our Lord 1826; and this edition of the said Hymns. agreeably to the aforesaid resolution, is to be the standard copy.

Eastern District of Pennsylvania, to wit:

BE IT REMEMBERED, that on the ninetcenth day of April, in the fifty-first year of the independence of the United States of America, A. D. 1827, the Right Reverend Wm. White, the Rev. Jackson Kemper, Wm. Meredith and Horace Binney, a committee of the General Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church, in the United States of America, in the year 1826, of the said District, have deposited in this office the title of a book, the right whereof they claim as proprietors, in the words following, to wit: "Hymns of the Protestant Episcopal Church, in the United States of America. Set forth in General Conventions of said Church, in the years of our Lord, 1789, 1808, and 1826."

In conformity to the Act of the Congress of the United States, intituled, "An Act for the Encouragement of Learning, by securing the copies of Maps, Charts and Books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies during the times therein mentioned"-And also to the act entitled, An act supplementary to an act, entitled, "An act for the Encouragement of Learning, by securing the copies of Maps, Charts and Books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies during the times therein mentioned," and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, engraving, and etching historical and other prints."
