GEOGRAPHY.

The Pupil Teacher's Geography. By J. H. YOXALL, M.P., Sec. N.U.T. 3s. 6d.

"Everywhere he gilds the crude geographical fact with a halo of interesting collateral data, until the completed work furnishes the student with a valuable and often picturesque fund of general information, comprising in its scope, not only geographical facts lit up by side-lights from the lamps of history, biography, and etymology, but also by out-of-the-way facts, quaint extracts, and literary selections, all interesting, all happily chosen, and all up to date. Certainly no pupil teacher will long remain without it, for to look through it is to resolve to possess it."-Teachers' Aid.

Jarrolds' School Map of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Surrounding Districts. By A. J. GRAYSTON, F.R.G.S. 50 in. by 42 in., mounted on Cloth, Roller, and varnished, 15s.

This Map is quite up to date, and has been specially prepared for School use from the latest Ordnance Survey.

All the physical features are clearly marked, and the relative sizes of the towns and important villages are indicated.

The hills are shaded brown.

Water and water names are printed in colour, the sea in light blue, and the rivers and broads in dark blue.

All the railways are inserted in distinctive markings, and the name of every station is given.

The portions of the surrounding counties are treated as fully as the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire; and each county or portion of a county is separately coloured. The map is therefore a map of the district of any school situated in the above-named counties.

A corner inset map of England and Wales shows the position of the district represented, and its size in comparison with the whole country. Another inset gives the points of the

compass.

The latitude and longitude are given, and all the border lines are divided into half-inch lengths, each half-inch representing one mile.

The map is the largest and most complete Educational Map of the Eastern Counties ever published, and it should find a space on the walls of every school in the district.
