3 Wash me, and make me thus Thine own;
Wash me, and mine Thou art;
Wash me, but not my feet alone,
My hands, my head, my heart.

4 The atonement of Thy blood apply,
Till faith to sight improve;
Till hope in full fruition die,
And all my soul be love.

"In that day there shall be a fountain opened for sin and for uncleanness."-Zech. xiii. 1.

TH

HERE is a fountain filled with blood, Drawn from Immanuel's veins; And sinners plunged beneath that flood, Lose all their guilty stains.

2 The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day;
And there have I, as vile as he,
Washed all my sins away.

3 Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its pow'r.

Till all the ransomed Church of God
Be saved, to sin no more.

4 E'er since, by faith, I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.

5 Then, in a nobler, sweeter song, I'll sing Thy power to save;

When this poor lisping stamm'ring tongue Lies silent in the grave.

6 Lord, I believe Thou hast prepared,
(Unworthy though I be,)

For me a blood-bought free reward,
A golden harp for me!

7 'Tis strung, and tuned for endless
And formed by power divine;
To sound in God the Father's ears,
No other name but Thine.

John, xvi. 32.

UITE alone, and yet not lonely,
I'll converse with God my friend:
Now from worldly care receding,
I my time in
time in prayer will spend.

2 O how blessed are the moments,

When the Lord Himself draws near;
When I feel His gracious presence,
And He listens to my prayer.

"Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”John, vi. 37.

JUS

But that Thy blood was shed for me, And that Thou bid'st me come to Thee, O Lamb of God, I come.

2 Just as I am and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark spot-`
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each blot,
O Lamb of God, I come.

3 Just as I am-though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings within and fears without,
O Lamb of God, I come.

4 Just as I am-poor, wretched, blind,
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find-
O Lamb of God, I come.

5 Just as I am-Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve,
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come.

6 Just as I am-Thy love I own
Has broken every barrier down;
Now to be Thine, yea, Thine alone—
O Lamb of God, I come.

9.

O Lord, I will praise thee!"-Isa. xii. 1.

WILL praise Thee every day,
Now Thine anger's turned away!
Comfortable thoughts arise
From the bleeding sacrifice.

2 Here, amid the Gospel field,
Wells of free salvation yield,
Streams of life, a plenteous store,
And my soul shall thirst no more.

3 Jesus is become at length

My salvation and my strength;
And His praises shall prolong,
While I live, my pleasant song.

4 Praise ye, then, His glorious name;
Publish His exalted fame!

Still His worth your praise exceeds:
Excellent are all His deeds.

5 Raise again the joyful sound:
Let the nations roll it round.
Zion, shout! for this is He :
God the Saviour dwells in thee.

"If God be for us, who can be against us?"Rom. viii. 31.

S God for me, what is it

[ocr errors]

That man can do to me?

Oft as my God I visit,

All woes give way and flee.

2 If God be my salvation,
My refuge in distress,
What earthly tribulation

Can shake my steadfast peace?

3 The ground of my profession
Is Jesus and His blood,

Which gives me the possession
Of everlasting good.
