Disqualifying Points.-Brown nose, white patch, and hanging tongue. No scale of points is given, and nothing is said about the feet; they must be cat-feet. In the same litter you find hard, smooth, long, and silky-coated dogs of self-coloured red, black and tan, and pale colours. The club admit : 1. The griffon Bruxellois (coat hard, colour red). 2. The petit griffon de toutes couleurs (coat hard, of all the other colours, and also red, but with a white patch on the chest). 3. The petit Brabançon (smooth-coated, colour red or black and tan). All the other points of the two last varieties (petit Griffon de toutes couleurs and petit Brabançon) are the same as those of the griffon Bruxellois. The club will not admit long and silky-coated dogs (I say dogs, I cannot say griffons, because griffon means hard and wiry coat). The petit Brabançon dog is often used for griffon Bruxellois bitches too soft in coat.
