Side 201 - But the Scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Side 332 - Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and evil-speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Side 208 - Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one : and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
Side 422 - And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.
Side 209 - Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, to speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men f.
Side 9 - And David sware moreover, and said, Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes ; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved : but truly, as the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death.
Side 365 - Then had the churches rest throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified ; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
Side 164 - I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith ; henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me at that day ; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Side 324 - Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling ; for it is God that worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Side 47 - I casually took a volume of what is called, " A Sentimental Journey through France and Italy." Sentimental ! what is that ? It is not English : he might as well say, Continental. It is not sense. It conveys no determinate idea ; yet one fool makes many. And this nonsensical word (who would believe it?) is become a fashionable one ! However, the book agrees full well with the title ; for one is as queer as the other.
