(y) Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which he commanded you to perform, even ten command

ments.

(*) Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations; even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath to Isaac, and confirmed the same to Jacob for a law.

(a) Blessed is the man, whosoever be be, whether Israelite or stranger, that joineth himself to the Lord; and taketh hold of his covenant, even that everlasting covenant, which God hath made with us in Christ; the new covenant, of which Jesus is the Mediator.

(b) Come, therefore, and let us join ourselves unto the Lord, in a perpetual covenant that shall · not be forgotten.

BAPTISM and the LORD'S SUPPER.

Baptism.

(c Jesus commanded his disciples to baptize all nations, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

(d) He hath said also, that except a man be born again of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

(e) Repent ye therefore, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the ⚫ remission of sins.

(f) If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest be baptized.

(g) Jesus said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God. And he put his hands upon them, and blessed them

(b) We are all baptized into one body.

(i) As many as have been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ.

(k) So many of us as were baptized into Jesus. Christ, were baptized into his death. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism, into death; that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For he that is dead is freed from sin.

(1) Baptism doth now save us, (not the putting away the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience towards God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

(m) After that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared; not by works of righteousness which we have done, but, according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

he was betrayed, took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and give it to his disciples, saying: Take, eat, this my body, which given for you; this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for you and for many, for the remission of sins: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

(o) Jesus said unto the Jews, I am the living bread, which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. Except therefore ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; for my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing.

(p) The cup of blessing which we bless, (saith St. Paul) is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? And the bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many, are one bread and one body; for we are all partakers of that one bread.

HOLY DAYS, FEASTS, and FASTS.

Holy Days.

(u) To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

(w) In six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore the Lord blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it.

(*) Upon the first day of the week the disci ples of Christ came together, to break bread, and to hear the word preached.

(y) There is a day of feasting and gladness; and a day for a man to afflict his soul.

(*) Thou shalt honour Lord on his holy day; not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words.

(a) Turn not again to the weak and beggarly elements of the world, by observing those days, and months, and times, and years, which the Jews observed.

(b) One man esteemeth one day above another; another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. But he that regardeth a day, let him regard it unto the Lord.

(c) Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest; that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid and the stranger may be refreshed.

(d) Upon the first day of the week, which is called the Lord's Day, let every one of you lay by him in store as God hath prospered him.

Feasts.

(e) Thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God; thou, and thy Son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant and thy maid-servant: and the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you."

(f) Thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God, in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.
