1. ASHLEY'S (Francis) readings on the statute of Magna Charta, and other statutes relating to the liberty of the subject, 1625, (in law journal for 1804.)

2. BACON's (Fran. Ld. Ch.) reading on the statute of uses, new edition, corrected (by F. Hargrave, esq.) 8vo. 2s. 6d. sewed. BACON's reading, is printed also among his Law Tracts, and in the several editions of the author's works.

It is observable, that the 4th and 5th discourse into which this treatise is divided by the learned author, are totally wanting, not being known to be any where extant.

Lord Bacon's reading on the statute of uses is a very profound treatise on the subject, as far as it goes, and shows he had the clearest conception of one of the abstrusest parts of our law. All the editions of this reading are printed with such extreme incorrectness, that many passages are rendered unintelligible even to the most attentive reader. Hargrave's Co. Lit. 13, a.
