NOTE. The objects of the Society are: -1. To diffuse among all classes plain information on the subjects of Health and Disease, particularly such as are connected with cleanliness, ventilation, and infection. 2. To prevent the adulteration of food and liquors. 3. To induce and assist people by personal influence, example, and encouragement, to live in accordance with recognised laws whereby health is maintained and disease prevented. 4. To seek the removal of all noxious influences by means of legislation, and by a legitimate pressure upon the executive authorities.
