FIRST DAY Guthrie, Oklahoma Territory, Tuesday, January 10, 1905. This being the day fixed by law for the convening of the Territorial Legislative Assembly, and the hour of 2 o'clock P. M. having arrived, those declaring themselves elected members of the Council of the Eighth Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Oklahoma, met in the Hall designated by the Secretary of the Territory as the Council Chamber. John H. Decker, claiming to be the member-elect as Council from the Sixth Council District, called the Council to order, and read the following communication: "TERRITORY OF OKLAHOMA.
