Macarius, Patriarch of Antioch, Travels' of, translated from the Arabic by F. C. Balfour. London, 2 vols. 1829. This work, which was written by Macarius' attendant, Archdeacon Paul of Aleppo, in the middle of the seventeenth century, throws light upon the condition and customs of the Russian Church at this date.
