It represents an area of 100 square miles, and contains all the latest additions and alterations. Great care has been taken to add the New Streets in the Suburbs. The INDICATOR (TAPE) MAP of LONDON and GENERAL VISITORS' GUIDE shews by means of a tape attached to the Map the position of more than 6,000 Streets, Public Buildings, &c. The favourable reception which a former Indicator Map received, has induced the publishers to produce one embracing a much larger area. It reaches to Kentish Town, Highbury, and Hackney on the North; Hackney Wick, Limehouse, and Deptford on the East; New Cross, Peckham, Camberwell, Battersea, and Fulham on the South; and Kensington and Notting Hill on the West. This Map is on a scale of 34 inches to the mile, and is ruled in squares of a quarter of a mile all over the Map, by which cab fares can be readily calculated. Great care has been taken to shew all Streets, Railway Stations, and Improvements up to the present date. The speciality of this Map is of course the tape, by which, after reference to the Alphabetical List, any Street or Building can be instantly found. LONDON RAILWAYS SIMPLIFIED AND EXPLAINED.-The railway system of London and its Environs is very complicated. To render it as clear as possible a Map has been prepared, printed in seven colours, and shewing every railway by either a different colour or sign. This plan enables the running powers of each railway to be shewn, and thus immediately settles the question whether actual communication exists between any two stations on the Map. It extends on the North to Map and Globe Publishers and Ordnance Map Agents Edgeware, Colney Hatch, and Woodford; on the East to Romford, Frith, and Bexley; on the South to Croydon and Sutton; and on the West to Esher, Hampton, and Southall.
