169 "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

I mf GOD loved the world of sinners lost 3 mf Love brings the glorious fulness in,

And ruined by the fall; Salvation full, at highest cost,

He offers free to all.

f Oh! 'twas love, 'twas wondrous love, The love of God to me;

It brought my Saviour from above,
To die on Calvary.

2 mf E'en now, by faith, I claim Him mine, 5 f Of victory now o'er Satan's power The risen Son of God;

Redemption by His death I find,

And cleansing through His blood.

Let all the ransomed sing, And triumph in the dying hour, Through Christ the Lord, our King.

Amen.

Imf" YET there is room!" The Lamb's bright hall of song,

With its fair glory, beckons thee along; pRoom, room, (cres) still room! dim Oh, enter, enter now!

Day is declining, and the sun is low; The shadows lengthen, light makes haste to go.

3 f The bridal hall is filling for the feast; Pass in, pass in, and be the Bridegroom's guest.

4 f It fills, it fills, that hall of jubilee : Make haste, make haste; 'tis not too full for thee.

ST. OSWALD.

5mf"Yet there is room!" Still open stands the gate,

The gate of love; it is not yet too late. 6 ƒ Pass in, pass in! The banquet is for thee;

That cup of everlasting love is free.

7 f All heaven is there, all joy! Go in, go in ; [win. The angels beckon thee the prize to 8 ff Louder and sweeter sounds the loving call;

6,6,6,6.

174 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He

saved us. ""

Imf VAIN are the hopes the sons of men
Upon their works have built;

p Their hearts by nature are unclean,
Their actions full of guilt.

2 mf Silent let Jew and Gentile stand,

Without one vaunting word,
And, humbled low, confess their guilt
Before heaven's righteous Lord.

3 mf No hope can on the law be built
Of justifying grace;

The law that shows the sinner's guilt
Condemns him to his face.

ST. MARY.

4 f Jesus, how glorious is Thy grace!
When in Thy name we trust,
Our faith receives a righteousness
That makes the sinner just.

5 And shall we then go on to sin,
That grace may more abound?
cres Great God, forbid that such a thought
Should in our breast be found!

6 mf With Christ the Lord we died to sin;
cres With Him to life we rise,-
To life which, now begun on earth,
Is perfect in the skies.

Too long enthralled to Satan's sway,
cres We now are slaves no more;

f For Christ hath vanquished death and sin,
Our freedom to restore. Amen.
