The Committee respectfully invite attention to the following

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE NEW YEAR, 1884.

The Union Report—Distribution and Sale, &c.

The Eighth Annual Report (1882-83) of the Union was distributed throughout the Connexion during the week October 5th to 12th, in accordance with the scale laid down in the circular issued in March, 1833. It is now kept on sale as one of the Union Publications. (See page 3.)

Officers, Committees and Teachers, Ministers, Societies and Congregations are supplied in this Report with the information necessary for intelligent oversight and vigorous co-operation in Sunday School work. In addition to Connexional, District, Town and Circuit Union Reports there is given the statistics of all the 6,548 Sunday Schools under the British Conference, as presented to the last March Quarterly Meetings, arranged and summarised under their Circuits and Districts; also, the date of every Grant Order made by the Connexional Union since it was formed, and the "Annual" amount, the year "paid up to" and the amount paid since last Report" of "Subscriptions to the Union."

The Committee trust that this effort to serve Sunday Schools will be appreciated, and that it will lead to an increase in the number of Connected Schools and the amount of Subscriptions; also to the payment of Subscriptions, including all arrears, early in the year.

Terms of Admission to the Union.

Admission to the advantages of the Union is by Annual Subscription of at least the following amounts:-
FOR SUNDAY SCHOOLS IN ENGLAND AND SCOTLAND.

Separate Schools-Five Shillings. Circuit Unions-Four Shillings per School.
FOR IRISH, COLONIAL, AND FOREIGN MISSION SCHOOLS.
Entrance Fee-A Guinea. Annual Subscription-Seven Shillings and Sixpence.
FOR INDIVIDUAL SUBSCRIBERS.

Half-a-Guinea-which entitles to use the Reading Room and Reference Library, to purchase at School Discounts, and to a free copy of the Sunday School Magazine.

Any Officer, Teacher or Senior Scholar of a Connected School, whose name is sent in by the Correspondent of his School, will be supplied with a separate Ticket, on payment of One Shilling per Annum.

Payment of Subscriptions and Accounts.

Subscriptions are accounted DUE ON THE IST OF JANUARY, IN EACH YEAR; and their payment early in the year, and without direct solicitation, saves expense in clerical work, postage, &c.

The prompt discharge of Accounts, bringing sales as nearly as possible to cash transactions, is another way of helping the Union, and the Officers and Committee appeal to their customers generally for kind consideration in this and other respects.

Money Orders (General Post Office) and Cheques should be crossed "CITY BANK."
Subscriptions and Donations payable to the Order of the REV. CHARLES H. KELLY, Secretary.
Payments for Books, &c., to MR, WILLIAM BINNS, Assistant Secretary.

Agents for the Sale of Publications.

(See List on page 2).

The appointment of Agents for the Sale of Publications is solely for trade purposes, and it is made on local nomination. Nominations by Circuit Union or Sunday School Committees are preferred. Agents are required to supply Officers, Teachers and Scholars of Connected Schools, and Subscribers to the Union, at the Union Discounts.

Publications of the Union, and Book Room, &c.

Attention is requested to the following New Works and New Editions (see page 3); to the Hymn and Tune Book Circular (see pages 49-52); and to the Lists, Catalogues, &c., of the Union. The Publications of the Book Room are also supplied on Discount Terms at all the Union Agencies. (See Circular at end of this Magazine, “Arrangements for 1884," &c.)
