SECTION XIII. TRANSMITTING PAPERS TO THE ORDNANCE OFFICE. ARTICLE 150..All papers transmitted to the chief of the Ordnance Department (except the annual inventories and the returns of Stores, with their vouchers,) shall be folded in such manner that the packet shall not exceed three and a half inches in width, and eight and a quarter inches in length, and shall be, as near as practicable, of those dimensions. They shall be endorsed according to the prescribed forms. The duplicate papers designed for the chief of the Ordnance Department will have the additional words, "Ordnance Office," written on the back of each. 151....All returns, statements, and other papers, which may be transmitted to the chief of the Ordnance Department, shall be accompanied by a letter of advice. 152....The printed blank forms required by these regulations for the service of the Ordnance Department shall, when not otherwise directed, be furnished from the Ordnance office to the several posts and stations, on requisitions to be made annually, in the month of May, by the commanders of such posts or stations, showing the number of each form required for one year's consumption.
