HE fcarcity of the PRACTICAL REGISTER in CHANCERY, and the reputation it deservedly bears, have induced me to publish the present edition; I am not so vain as to imagine that the book is now perfect, nor fo diffident as to suppose that my labours have been entirely ufelefs:-Such as it is, I fubmit it to the candour of the Bar, with the fame fentiments as the learned author has expreffed, and the fame wishes, that "Justice and Equity, and the lovers of them, may for ever flourish."
