CHAPTER 1.
House Bill No. 5.

APPROPRIATIONS FOR LEGISLATIVE EXPENSES AND CERTAIN
DEFICIENCIES.

AN ACT to appropriate funds for the compensation of the members, officers and employes of the Seventh State Legislature of the State of Wyoming; to pay for the necessary legislative printing of the Seventh State Legislature of the State of Wyoming; to pay for the necessary stationery, postage, furniture, repairs on furniture and incidental expenses of the Seventh State Legislature of the State of Wyoming; to pay for the preparing for the use of the printer, certified copies of the Session Laws of the Seventh State Legislature of the State of Wyoming; to pay the expense of preparing for the use of the printer, certified copies of the Journals of the Senate and House of Representatives of the Seventh State Legislature of the State of Wyoming; to pay for the support and maintenance of State, charitable and penal institutions and contingent expenses of the State Board of Charities and Reform; for the relief of the First National Bank of Cheyenne, Wyoming, on account of monies advanced for contingent expenses of the State Veterinarian; for the relief of the First National Bank of Cheyenne, Wyoming, on account of monies advanced in connection with the Louisiana Purchase Exposition; for the per diem and contingent expenses of the Board of Control; to pay for typewriters and desks for Justices of Supreme Court and typewriter for Librarian; for the relief of the S. A. Bristol & Co. Appropriating sixteen thousand dollars for heating plant for State University. Be it Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

PER DIEM AND MILEAGE.

Section 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of twenty-five thou

sand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to pay the per diem and mileage of the officers, members and employes of the Seventh State Legislature of the State of Wyoming.

LEGISLATIVE PRINTING.

Sec. 2. There is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of twenty-five hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to pay for the necessary legislative printing of the Seventh State Legislature of the State of Wyoming.

INCIDENTAL EXPENSE.

Sec. 3. There is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of five thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to pay for the stationery, postage, furniture, repairs on furniture, and incidental expenses of the Seventh State Legislature of the State of Wyoming.

CERTIFIED COPIES LAWS,

Sec. 4. There is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of five hundred dollars, or so much thereof: as ntay be necessary, to pay the expenses of preparing for the use of the printer certified copies of the Session Laws of the Seventh State Legislature of the State of Wyoming.

CERTIFIED COPIES JOURNALS.

Sec. 5. There is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of five hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to pay the expenses of preparing for the use of the printer, certified copies of the Journals of the Senate and House of Representatives of the Seventh State Legislature of the State of Wyoming.

BOARD CHARITIES AND REFORM.

Sec. 6. The sum of ten thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to pay for the support and maintenance of State, charitable and penal institutions, including the transportation, board and care of prisoners; expense and care of the blind, deaf, dumb and feeble minded; the expense and care of the inmates of the Wyoming Soldiers' and Sailors' Home, together with insurance and repair of buildings and contingent expenses of the State Board of Charities and Reform, prior to March 31st, 1903.

RELIEF-FIRST NATIONAL BANK, CHEYENNE.

Sec. 7. There is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State. Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars for the relief of the First National Bank of Cheyenne, Wyoming, on account of monies advanced for the contingent expense of the State Veterinarian necessarily incurred prior to March 31st, 1903.

RELIEF-FIRST NATIONAL BANK, CHEYENNE.

Sec. 8. There is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of one hundred and thirtynine and 70-100 dollars, for the relief of the First National Bank of Cheyenne, Wyoming, on account of monies advanced for the contingent expenses of a commission appointed by the Governor in connection with the Louisiana Purchase Exposition.

RELIEF-BOARD OF CONTROL.

Sec. 9. There is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of two thousand dollars, for the necessary per diem and contingent expenses of the Board of Control necessarily incurred prior to March 31st, 1903.

TYPEWRITERS—SUPREME COURT AND LIBRARIAN.

Sec. 10. The sum of four hundred and thirty-six dollars and seventynine cents, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of paying for typewriting machines and desks for the offices of the Justices of the Supreme Court; and for paying for a typewriting machine for the use of the State Librarian.

CONTINGENT-STATE EXAMINER.

Sec. 11. The sum of one hundred twelve dollars and sixteen cents or so much thereof as may be necessary is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to pay "The S. A. Bristol Company" for printing as follows:

Sec. 12. The sum of sixteen thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to pay expense incurred in putting in the heating plant at State University prior to March 31st, 1903, the said appropriation to be paid by the State Treasurer to the Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the State University upon the warrant of the State Auditor to be issued upon the request of said Board of Trustees. Sec. 13. This Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 2.

House Bill No. 1.

LEGISLATIVE EMPLOYEES.

AN ACT to provide for the office of Reading Clerk of the Senate and House of Representatives, an additional Page in the House of Representatives, a Day Watchman for the House of Representatives and Night Watchman for the Senate of the State of Wyoming, three stenographers and typewriters for the House of Representatives, and two stenographers and typewriters for the Senate, and defining the duties of, and fixing the compensation of such Reading Clerks, additional Page, Night Watchman, and stenographers and typewriters.

Be it Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

READING CLERKS.

Section 1. There shall be a Reading Clerk of the Senate and a Reading Clerk of the House of Representatives, who shall perform such duties as he may be directed to perform by the Chief Clerk or President of the Senate or the Chief Clerk or Speaker of the House of Representatives;
