O Mr. CLAPP, from the Committee on Indian Affairs, submitted the following REPORT. [To accompany S. 7758.] The Committee on Indian Affairs, to which was referred the bill (S. 7758) conferring jurisdiction upon the Court of Claims to hear, consider, and determine certain claims of the Cherokee Nation against the United States, having examined the same, report it favorably and recommend its passage without amendment. The Cherokee Nation has a claim for interest alleged to be due them on funds which were retained in the Treasury, and your committee is of the opinion that they are at least entitled to have this matter adjudicated by a court.
