Anecdote of a Country Curate. SOME years since refided in a country village,

a poor, but worthy Clergyman; who, with a small stipend of forty pounds a year, supported himself, a wife, and seven children. It's true, that he had a garden, which he cultivated with his own hands, and, by his industry, it afforded them vegetables for their table. He likewise had a cow, which, by the assistance of his wife, supplied them all with a plentiful morning's repast; for tea was wholly banished from their frugal board. B
