SEC. 2. If the said Julius C. Rockner shall fail to build the said toll bridge within six months from the passage of this act, then the rights and privileges hereby granted shall be null and void. Approved February 27, 1872.

AN ACT for the Relief of Certain Persons named therein.

The people of the State of Florida, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows: SECTION 1. That Sherman Conant, Birch Gibson, and John Craig, citizens of the State of Penalties, &c., Florida, be, and they are hereby, relieved from all estreats, fines, penalties, and costs which have been incurred, or which may hereafter be incurred, by them on account of the forfeiture of any bonds or recognizance given by them for the appearance of Harry Russell and Julius Griffin at the Circuit Courts for the State of Florida, to answer certain indictments pending against them, the said Harry Russell and Julius Griffin.

Whereas, At the fall term of circuit court (1871) in Marion county, judgment was entered against Charles V. Hillyer for

the sum of $500, as surety for one John R. Hall, in a case of State of Florida vs. John R. Hall, principal, H. E. Russell and Charles V. Hillyer, sureties: And whereas, Said Charles V. Hillyer was the only one of said defendants upon whom a writ of sciref aci as was served, and against whom judgment was entered: Therefore,

The people of the State of Florida, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows: That said Charles V. Hillyer is Judgment. hereby forever relieved from the payment of said judgment, and the officers of the court are hereby restrained from issuing and levying execution for said judgment.

AN ACT entitled An act for the Relief of Benjamin Saxon.

The people of the State of Florida, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows: SECTION 1. That the Comp- Comptroller troller is hereby authorized to issue his warrant in favor of Benjamin Saxon, of Hernando County, for the sum of one hundred and forty-eight dollars (148) for expenses incurred in guarding prisoners of the State after conviction, by order of the judge of the circuit, which by reason of the death of the presiding judge could not be approved as required by law.

A MEMORIAL from the Legislature of the State of Florida to the Congress of

the United States.

The people of the State of Florida, represented in Senate and Assembly, do resolve as follows: That our Senators and Representative in Congress be, and are hereby, requested to endeavor to secure mail service from Callahan, in Nassau county, to Kings Ferry, in said county, semi-weekly or weekly if deemed more expedient.

MEMORIAL to Congress for the establishment of a Mail Route from Blunt's Town in Calhoun County, Florida, to Abe Springs, Florida.

The people of the State of Florida, represented in Senate and Assembly, would respectfully request our Senators and Representative in the Congress of the United States, to use their best exertions to get a mail route established, running from Blunt's Town, in Calhoun county, Florida, to Abe Springs, Florida, a distance of twelve miles, and to use their best efforts to have a Post-office established at Bluntstown, in Calhoun county, Florida.

The Secretary of State is hereby instructed to forward a certified copy of this memorial to each of our Senators and our Representative in Congress.

A MEMORIAL from the Legislature of the State of Florida to the Congress of the United States.

The people of the State of Florida, represented in Senate and Assembly, do resolve as follows: That our Senators and Representative in Congress be, and are hereby, requested to endeavor to secure the establishment of a mail route from Key West to Tampa, by the way of Charlotte Harbor, the service on said route to be performed by steam vessel, either weekly or semi-monthly. Approved February 5, 1872.

MEMORIAL to Congress for an Appropriation to Dredge and Deepen the Ship Channel in Apalachicola Bay.

WHEREAS, The general government having already had the ship channel in the Bay of Apalachicola surveyed by competent officers of the engineer corps, and the dredging and deepening of said ship channel having been pronounced by said officers as eminently practicable, and as it would be a work of great public utility, redounding both in the interest of commerce and navigation, and for the benefit of the increasing milling, lumber and timber business of the port of Apalachicola; Therefore,

The people of the State of Florida, represented in Senate and Assembly, Would respectfully request our Senators and Representative in the Congress of the United States to use their best exertions to get an appropriation to perfect the work of dredg ing and deepening said ship channel in Apalachicola Bay.

The Secretary of State is hereby instructed to forward a certified copy of this memorial to each of our Senators and Representative in the Congress of the United States.

A MEMORIAL to the Congress of the United States.

WHEREAS, The present mail route from Quincy to Concord, in Gadsden county, Florida, crosses several water-courses which are frequently impassable, thereby interrupting the regular transportation of the mails; AND WHEREAS, The business relations of the people of Concord are entirely connected with the town of Harrell, on the Atlantic and Gulf Railroad in the State of Georgia; AND WHEREAS, A mail route from Concord to Harrell is more expedient, and would accommodate the people of that section of that country, and render the mail service more effective by passing an intermediate post-office, while now it does not; Therefore,

The people of the State of Florida, represented in Senate and Assembly, Would most respectfully ask and memorialize the Congress of the United States to discontinue the mail route from Quincy to Concord, and establish the route from Concord, Gadsden county, Florida, to Harrell, on the Atlantic and Gulf Railroad, via Calvary, in the State of Georgia. And they further request their Regresentatives in Congress to use their influence to secure the change of said route. And the Secretary of State is hereby instructed to forward a copy of this memorial to each of our Senators and Representative in Congress and to the Postmaster-General.
