It is a most interesting document, both as evidence of the state of the Turf, and the breeding and training thoroughbred horses in the far north of Europe.

SEPTEMBER 12th.-A Silver Cup, value 145 R. Silver, given by Mr. Frantzewitch, added to a Sweepstekes of 30 R. S. each, for threeyear-olds; colts, 3 pood* 12 pounds; fillies, 3 p. 8 p.; the second horse to receive half of the Stakes; three verste (six subscribers).
