MY DEAR MARGARET, I DEDICATE to you this little book, in which you will find Prayers and Hymns for Morning and Evening, and other times; and I hope it may prove useful to you, now that you are five years old, and able to understand the great happiness of being allowed to speak to your Father in heaven, and tell Him all your wants in prayer. My child, never let a day pass without kneeling down night and morning in prayer to God; putting yourself, and all dear to you, under His care, thanking Him for all His love and goodness towards you, and praying Him to forgive your faults, and to bless and keep you always.
