APPROPRIATIONS-MILEAGE AND PER DIEM OF MEMBERS OF THE THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE.

An Act appropriating one hundred and ten thousand ($110,000) dollars to pay mileage and per diem of members and per diem of employees and officers of the Thirtieth Legislature and creating an emergency.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas: That the sum of one hundred and ten thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of the general revenue not heretofore appropriated to pay the mileage and per diem of members and the per diem of officers and employees of the Thirtieth Legislature.

SEC. 2. The fact that the sum stated, or such portions as may be necessary, is required to pay the mileage and per diem of members and the per diem of officers and employes of the Thirtieth Legislature, creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity which requires that the constitutional rule providing that all bills be read on three several days be suspended and the same is hereby suspended and this Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and it is so enacted.

[NOTE. The enrolled bill shows that the foregoing act passed the Senate by a two-thirds vote, yeas 27, nays 0; and was passed by the House of Representatives by a two-thirds vote, yeas 108, nays 1.]

CHAPTER II.

An Act appropriating the sum of twenty thousand ($20,000) dollars to pay the contingent expenses of the Thirtieth Legislature, and creating an emergency.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas: That the sum of twenty thousand ($20,000) dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of the general revenue not heretofore appropriated to pay the contingent expenses of the Thirtieth Legislature.
