RoCherubim and Seraphim
OUND the Lord in glory seated
Filled His temple, and repeated
Each to each the alternate hymn : 2 " Lord, Thy glory fills the heaven,
“ Earth is with its fulness stored; “ Unto Thee be glory given,
“ Holy, holy, holy, Lord!"
Earth takes up the angels' cry,
“ Lord of hosts, the Lord most high!” 4 With His seraph train before Him,
With His holy Church below,
Bid we thus our anthems flow:
“ Earth is with its fulness stored ; “ Unto Thee be glory given,
“Holy, holy, holy, Lord !”
ROM all that dwell below the skies
Let the Creator's praise arise ;
Through every land, by every tongue. 2 Eternal are Thy mercies, Lord,
Eternal truth attends Thy word;
Alleluia. 2 And the choirs that dwell on high Shall re-echo through the sky
Alleluia. 3 They in the rest of Paradise who dwell, The blessed ones, with joy the chorus swell,
Alleluia. 4. The planets beaming on their heavenly way, The shining constellations, join, and say
Alleluia. 5 Ye clouds that onward sweep!
Ye winds on pinions light!
Alleluia. 6 Ye floods and ocean billows !
Ye storms and winter snow ! Ye days of cloudless beauty !
Hoar frost and summer glow ! Ye groves
that wave in spring, And glorious forests, sing
Alleluia. 7 First let the birds, with painted plumage gay, Exalt their great Creator's praise, and say
8 Then let the beasts of earth, with varying strain, Join in Creation's hymn, and cry again
Alleluia. 9 Here let the mountains thunder forth, sonorous,
Alleluia. There let the valleys sing in gentler chorus,
10 Thou jubilant abyss of ocean cry
Alleluia. Ye tracts of earth and continents, reply
Alleluia. 11 To God, who all creation made, The frequent hymn be duly paid :
Alleluia. 12 This is the strain, the eternal strain, The Lord Almighty loves :
Alleluia. 13 Wherefore we sing, both heart and voice awaking,
Alleluia. And children's voices echo, answer making,
Alleluia. 14 Now from all men be outpoured
Alleluia to the Lord !
The Son and Spirit we adore.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia !
ARK! the song of Jubilee,
Loud as mighty thunders roar,
When it breaks upon the shore.
Echo round the earth and main;
God omnipotent shall reign.
With illimitable sway ;
Yonder heavens have passed away:
Man's last enemy shall fall:
God in Christ, is All in all.
THOU, whom neither time nor space
Can circle in, unseen, unknown,
Save through Thy Spirit and Thy Son! 2 And Thou, that from Thy bright abode,
To us in mortal weakness shown, Didst graft the manhood into God,
Eternal, co-eternal Son! 3 And Thou, whose unction from on high
By comfort, light, and love is known; Who with the parent Deity,
Dread Spirit! art for ever One !
4 Great First and Last! Thy blessing give !
And grant us faith, Thy gift alone, To love and praise Thee while we live,
And do whate'er Thou wouldst have done!
O God be glory, peace on earth,
Good-will to sinners shown!
We worship Thee alone!
That fills our souls with light:
And Father of all might !
3 And Thou, beloved Son of God!
That tak'st our sins away;
And hear us when we pray.
4 O Thou, who site'st at God's right hand,
Upon the Father's throne,
Who art the Holy One!
5 Thou, with the Holy Ghost, O Christ,
Whom heaven and earth adore,
