420. Maj. Gen. John Wood,
Major in the late Liverpool Regiment. This officer was a Major in the army 1st March 1794; Major in the 20th foot 3d August 1796 ; Lieutenant Colonel in the army 1st January 1798; Major in the late Liverpool regiment of foot in 1800; Colonel in the army 25th April 1808; and Major General 4th June 1811. He has been on half-pay of the Liverpool regiment several years; and served on the Staff in the West Indies for a considerable period.
421. MAJ. Gen. SIR THOMAS SAUMAREZ, Kr.
This officer was appointed Captain in the 23rd foot 13th September 1779; Captain 7th foot 13th June 1789; Major in the army 1st March 1794; Lieutenant Colonel in the army 1st January 1798 ; Colonel in the army 25th April 1808 ; and Major General 4th June 1811. He served on the Staff as Inspector of Militia in Guernsey; and is at present on the Staff at Halifax, Nova Scotia.
