Side 64 - If in any employment to which this Act applies personal injury by accident arising out of and in the course of the employment is caused to a workman, his employer shall, subject as herein-after mentioned, be liable to pay compensation in accordance with the First Schedule to this Act.

Side 286 - No court will lend its aid to a man, who founds his cause of action upon an immoral or illegal act. If, from the plaintiff's own stating or otherwise, the cause of action appears to arise ex turpi causa, or the transgression of a positive law of this country, there the court says he has no right to be assisted.
Side 356 - In all restraints of trade, where nothing more appears, the law presumes them bad ; but if the circumstances are set forth, that presumption is excluded, and the court is to judge of those circumstances, and determine accordingly ; and if upon them it appears to be a just and honest contract, it ought to be maintained.
