GRAND AND UPRIGHT PIANOS.

By the use of the "MASON & HAMLIN PATENT STRINGER" these Pianos are capable of remaining in tune three times or four times longer, and are very much more durable than is possible with the use of the confessedly weak and unsatisfactory 'Pin Block"

System. They are also characterized by

Remarkable Purity and Refinement of Tone,
Unusual Delicacy of Touch and Action,
Great Capacity for Remaining In Tune.

From Prof. F. B. RICE, Warner Hall, Conservatory of Music, Oberlin, Ohio, May 1, 1887.

It affords me great pleasure to say a word in regard to the Pianos that we purchased of you more than a year ago. They have had severe use, and have stood the test in a most satiefactory manner. It is easy to see that our students prefer them to any Pianos we have, and we have instruments from eight or ten other manufacturers. Our tuner told me a short time ago that we had nothing that began to equal the Mason & Hamlin Pianos for staying in tune. The touch is very free and pleasant, and the tone excellent F. B. RICE.

From W. C. E. SEEBOECK, the Eminent Pianist and Composer. Having carefully examined and used at many concerts the Mason & Hamlin Grand and Upright Pianos, it gives me pleasure to say that in many respects I find them unequalled. They are characterized by a peculiarly pure and musical tone of great carrying quality, and respond with equal promptitude to the most delicate or powerful touch. The repeating capacity of these Pianos renders them delightful to the artist, and I congratulate you on the success you have attained. W. C. E. SEEBOECK.

From ROBERT GOLDBECK, the Eminent Pianist and Composer. The Mason & Hamlin Upright Pianos are characterized by peculiarly bright, pure musical tones, while the action is delicately responsive and capable of quickest possible repetition. The extraordinary durability and capacity for sustained pitch secured by their peculiar construction are invaluable. As a whole, these Pianos are certainly worthy of highest commendation. ROBERT GOLDBECK. Endorsed by such Eminent Artists and Musicians as W. H. SHERWOOD,

W. S. B. MATTHEWS.
