Chap.680 RESOLVE GRANTING EXTRA PAY TO THE HONORABLE PRESI

DENT OF THE SENATE, AND SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES, A GRANT OF TWELVE POUNDS TO
THE CHAPLAIN, AND FIFTY-FIVE POUNDS TO EACH OF THE
CLERKS OF THE GENERAL COURT, AND ESTABLISHING THE
PAY OF THE COMMITTEE ON ACCOUNTS, AND ON MUSTER-
ROLLS.

Resolved, That there be granted and paid out of the public Treasury of this Commonwealth to the Honorable Samuel Adams, Esq; President of the Senate, the sum of six shillings per day; and also to the Honorable Nathaniel Gorham, Esq; Speaker of the House of Representatives, the sum of six shillings per day for each day of their attendance on the General Court the present session, over and above their respective pay as Members of the General Court.

And it is further Resolved, That there be allowed and paid out of the public treasury of this Commonwealth, to the Rev. Mr. John Clark, as chaplain to the General Court, from the 29th day of May, 1781, unto the 29th day of May, 1782, the sum of twelve pounds in full of his service.

And it is further Resolved, That there be allowed and paid out of the public treasury of this Commonwealth, to Samuel Henshaw, Esq; Clerk of the House of Representatives; and also to Mr. William Baker, jun. Clerk of the Senate, the sum of fifty-five pounds each, which, with the sums already granted, shall be in full of their services as Clerks to the General Court from the 29th day of May, 1781, unto the 29th day of May, 1782.

And it is further Resolved, That there be allowed and paid out of the public treasury of this Commonwealth, to each of the members of the committee on accounts and on muster rolls, one shilling and six pence per day for each day's attendance on that service, over and above their pay as members of the General Court.
