GENERAL INFORMATION

I. Sizes of Books. The following descriptions represent the approximate dimensions: 32mo, 4X51⁄2 inches; 18mo, 45% 6% inches; 16mo, 434 X7% inches; 12mo, 54X734 inches; crown 8vo, 52X8 inches; 8vo, 6X9 inches; royal 8vo, 634 X91⁄2 inches; 4to, 10X12 inches; folio, 13X15 inches. Special sizes-such as small 40, square 8vo, square 16mo, etc. are modifications of the sizes iamed above. The figures refer, in all cases, to external measurements of the cover.

2. Bindings. Many publications are furnished in paper covers. Cloth-bound editions are so indicated, and, when desired, orders will be taken for cloth- or leather-bound copies of paper-covered editions, either of single books or of volumes of series or periodicals. Quoations will be submitted on application, and only the cost-price of ob-binding will be charged.

3. Prices. The prices given are retail prices at which single opies are expected to be sold, and from which no discounts are llowed except on trade orders. When not otherwise indicated, prices re “net;” an asterisk (*) indicates that the prices are "list;" the ouble asterisk (**) is used to indicate public-school, college, and niversity textbooks. Prices are subject to change without notice, nd postage must be added to all mail orders for "net" and textbooks, but eed not be added to the advertised prices of "list" books.
