Resolved by the Senate, (the House of Representatives concurring therein) That the Governor be authorised to rent the House and Lot, now occupied by E. M. Townsend, for the use of the officers of this state, until permanent public buildings are furnished: And the Governor is authorised to appropriate such part of aid building to his own use as he may think necessary; and the remainder of the building to be used, under his direction, by the Secretary of State, Auditor of Public Accounts, and the Treasurer of this State. And the Governor is further authorised, to make arrangements with the administrators, or other representatives of the estate of F. Ernst, deceased, for the rent of the said House and Lot, so that the said rent be set off against any debt that the said estate may owe the people of this state.

a constitution and state government,

Acts respecting fugitives from justice, and persons esca-
ping from the service of their masters,
