ENACTED AT THE SPECIAL SESSION OF THE
LEGISLATURE, OCTOBER TWENTY-EIGHT,

An act to provide a method by which legal voters of Min-

nesota in the service of the United States as members of the

Minnesota National Guard may vote.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Minnesota :

Section 1. Application.-Whenever the Minnesota National

Guard, or a majority of any regiment thereof, on the day of a
general election in this State, is outside of the State of Minnesota
and in the service of the United States, the provisions of this
act shall apply to the voting of the members thereof.

Section 2. Duties of county auditor.-The auditors of the
several counties of this State are hereby directed and required;
first: to ascertain at least twenty (20) days before any election to
be held on the Tuesday after the first Monday of November in any
even numbered year, and if any law be passed less than twenty
(20) days before such election is to be held, then forthwith after
notice of the passage of the law, and forthwith after the passage
