Side 308 - Every act shall embrace but one subject, and matters properly connected therewith; which subject shall be expressed in the title. But if any subject shall be embraced in an act, which shall not be expressed in the title, such act shall be void only as to so much thereof as shall not be expressed in the title.

All persons shall be bailable, unless for capital offences, where the proof shall be evident or the presumption great.
Side 321 - Upon conviction for treason, he shall have power to suspend the execution of the sentence, until the case shall be reported to the Legislature at its next meeting, when the Legislature shall either pardon or commute the sentence, direct the execution of the sentence, or grant a further reprieve.
Side 397 - In all other cases where a general law can be made applicable, no special law shall be enacted.
