and difcharging from time to time the jointures and provifions made for my dear wife, and also the yearly allowances for maintenance and education of my fon C. and my other faid younger children, in manner herein before directed, and all neceffary expenfes relating thereto, that the faid trustees or trustee do from time to time place out the refidue and remainder of the rents and profits of my faid real estates, and alfo the increasing and lay out the intereft, dividends, and profits of my personal estates, upon mortgage,at intereft, or upon fuch real fecurities as they fhall think proper; except nevertheless, and I hereby direct, that none of my truft-monies fhall on any account be placed in the publie stocks or funds, or on any other government fecurities: And after having raised a sufficient fund for payment of younger children's portions, it is my will and defire that they will still in like manner continue improving my eftates for the benefit of the perfons entitled thereto. P. the fum of each, as an acknowledgment for the trouble they may have in the execution of this my will, provided they take upon themselves the burthen and trouble thereof; but I give fuch legacy only to fuch of them refpectively as fhall take upon themselves fuch burthen and trouble, the fame to be paid to them refpectively when and as foon as any fon or daughter of mine, or the iffue of any of them, fhall become entitled to the poffeffion, or the rents and profits of my faid devised estates, under the limitations aforefaid; (trustees to be only chargeable for what they receive, not for each other, nor for loffes, &c. and to have liberty to reimburse themselves.) V. my present bailiff, as bailiff, inspector and affistant, in the management of my faid eftates, fo long as he fhall behave with care, faithfulness, and diligence in fuch employ; and that he be paid the salary or yearly fum of during fuch his employment, by four equal quarterly payments, to commence from the day of my death; and I also give to the faid H. F. and T. M. or the furvivor of them, or the heirs or affigns of fuch furvivor fhall think fit. AND I do hereby declare my will to be, that upon payment of my faid perfonal eftate, or any part thereof, and alfo upon payment of the money to arife by fuch fale or fales of the faid meffuages and hereditaments hereby made faleable, or any of them, or any part or parts thereof refpectively, it fhall and may be lawful to and for the faid G. F. and T. M. and the furvivor of them, and the heirs and affigns of fuch furvivor, to give and fign any receipt or receipts for the money to arise by fuch fale or fales, or any part thereof refpectively, which receipt or receipts fhall be a good and fufficient difcharge or
