In fellowship we meet around
In sacred fellowship we meet
Jesus invites His saints..
Jesus once for sinners slain
Meeting in the Saviour's name
O how pleasant, thus united.
O how sweet, how comfortable
O the matchless love of God
Obedient to our dying Lord
Oft we, alas forget the love..
Our passover is offer'd up

Our Saviour's death is here display'd..
Ours is a rich and royal feast....
See the Father's hand is spreading
See the Saviour spreads a table..
Simply as disciples gather'd.......

These emblems of the Saviour's love...
This is the feast of heavenly wine
Thy broken body, gracious Lord !...
We bless our Saviour's name

While we partake the bread and wine
With Jesus in our midst

MORNING.

A wake my soul, and with the sun

In sleep's serene oblivion laid...
Lord, for the mercies of the night
Lord of my life, O may Thy praise
Through all the dangers of the night.

PARTING.

Blessings for ever on the Lamb

[blocks in formation]

Blest be the dear uniting love...

Christian brethren, ere we part

Dismiss us with Thy blessing, Lord

Great Father of mercies, we bow....

Henceforward, till the Lord shall come...... 73
Lord, dismiss us hence with gladness...
Lord, dismiss us with Thy blessing
Lord, now we part in Thy blest name..
May the grace of Christ our Saviour
Of Thy love some gracious token..
On what has now been sown .....
Once more, before we part,......
Saviour, follow with Thy blessing
To Thee our wants are known

HYMNS.

I.-8, 7.

1 GLORY, glory everlasting,
Be to Him Who bore the cross,
Who redeem'd our souls by tasting
Death, the death deserv'd by us!
Spread His glory

Who redeem'd His people thus.

2 His is love, 'tis love unbounded, Without measure, without end; Human thought is here confounded; "Tis too vast to comprehend: Praise the Saviour!

Magnify the sinners' friend.

3 While we tell the wondrous story Of the Saviour's cross and shame,

Sing we-" Everlasting glory

Be to God and to the Lamb."

Saints and angels,

Give ye glory to His name.

B

II.-8s.

1 WE'LL sing of the Shepherd that died,
That died for the sake of the flock;
His love to the utmost was tried,
But firmly endur'd as a rock.

2 When blood from a victim must flow
This Shepherd, by pity, was led
To stand between us and the foe,
And willingly died in our stead.

3 Our song then for ever shall be,

Of the Shepherd who gave Himself thus ; No subject's so glorious as He, No theme 's so affecting to us.

4 We'll sing of such subjects alone,
None other our tongues shall employ;
Till better His love becomes known,
In yonder bright regions of joy.

III.-7, 7, 8, 7. bis.

1 HEAD of the church triumphant!

We joyfully adore Thee,

"Till Thou appear
Thy members here

Would sing like those in glory!
We lift our hearts and voices,
In blest anticipation,

And cry aloud,

And give to God

The praise of our salvation.

2 While in affliction's furnace
And passing through the fire;
The love we praise

Which tries our ways,
And ever brings us nigher;
We clap our hands, exulting
In Thine almighty favour:
The love divine

Which makes us Thine,
Shall keep us Thine for ever.

3 Thou dost conduct Thy people, Through torrents of temptation; Nor will we fear,

While Thou art near,

The fire of tribulation:

The World, with Sin and Satan,
In vain our march opposes;
By Thee we shall

Break through them all,

And sing the song of Moses.
